I grew up in Indianola, IA. Bowling was a family tradition as my Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles all bowled. A tradition that I passed on to my family. My wife Sue and I still bowl together in league and both of my children, Andrew and Megan, bowled in high school and Megan in college. I was pretty good at a young age and grew up trying to replicate the powerful style of Mark Roth and the intensity of Pete Weber. I didn't join the PBA until I was 33 years old. Winning the Midwest Region RoY that year. In December of 2010 I earned an exemption on the PBA Tour and shortly after earned my only PBA title the USBC Masters. The fall of 2011 came and the exempt tour was eliminated, but I decided to bowl all of the events while also keeping my job at home. A mildly successful career ensued making a total of 4 PBA TV shows with the lone title being the Masters. In 2021 I joined the PBA50 Tour and that's when my career took off. I was the PBA50 Player and Rookie of the Year that season and have since totaled 10 career PBA50 Tour titles.
