In a thrilling culmination to the inaugural season of the PBA Elite League: Battle of the Brands, Team Storm emerged victorious, clinching the Manufacturer’s Cup in a live broadcast on FOX from Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan, on April 27, 2025.

Path to Glory

Storm entered the finals as the top seed, a position secured through consistent performances throughout the season. In the Race-to-Two championship match against No. 2 seed MOTIV, Storm showcased their expertise in the baker format.

Jesper Svensson set the tone in Game 1, delivering three crucial strikes in the 10th frame to secure a narrow 189–186 victory. Game 2 started strong, with François Lavoie, Kyle Troup, Chris Via, captain Jason Belmonte, and Svensson each opening with strikes, leading to a commanding 275–181 win and a 2–0 sweep of the championship match.

A Tribute to a Legend

The victory held deep emotional significance for Team Storm. Captain Jason Belmonte dedicated the win to Storm co-founder Bill Chrisman, who passed away in September 2023. Belmonte expressed, “This would have been one of the happiest days for him, watching his Storm company and the boys that represent the company get out there and throw as many strikes as we did.”

The Road to the Finals

The championship round featured intense competition. Brunswick defeated 900 Global in the opening match, 233–218. MOTIV then overcame Brunswick, 213–185, setting the stage for the final showdown against Storm.

Team Storm’s triumph not only secured them the Manufacturer’s Cup but also honored the legacy of their late founder, Bill Chrisman, marking a memorable moment in PBA history.
