Ion Pro Pearl

See what’s possible. Length. Angle. Power.

The Ion Pro Pearl expands the Ion Pro Series with a balanced combination of length, angle, and power designed to excel on medium oil conditions. Built around the proven Element Tour A.I. Core and the latest NRG Pearl Reactive coverstock, the Ion Pro Pearl was engineered to create harmony between the core and coverstock, producing a predictable read through the lane and a strong, controlled move through the pins. The low RG, medium differential core provides a stable foundation with enough flare to handle changing lane conditions, while the NRG Pearl Reactive coverstock adds length and responsiveness without sacrificing midlane traction. As a natural progression from stronger asymmetrics, the Ion Pro Pearl gives bowlers the confidence to create more angle and migrate left as the lanes transition, while maintaining the versatility and predictable motion that define the Ion Pro family.

Element Tour A.I. Core
The Element Tour A.I. Core is a medium-strength asymmetric design built for versatility and control. Its low RG promotes an early, stable roll, while the medium differential and moderate PSA create ample flare and strong drive through the pins without producing an overly aggressive shape. The combination allows the Ion Pro Pearl to naturally blend wet/dry conditions and maintain its motion through transition, giving bowlers the stability and confidence to move deeper on the lane without the ball becoming overly forward or rolling out.

NRG Pearl Reactive Coverstock
NRG Pearl Reactive Coverstock
The latest iteration of NRG Pearl Reactive provides the Ion Pro Pearl with the ideal balance of traction and responsiveness. The coverstock maintains a stable motion through the front and midlane before making a confident, sweeping move off the breakpoint, creating the length and recovery needed for steeper launch angles. Finished at 4000-grit Abralon, the Ion Pro Pearl features Storm’s smoothest textured surface without the use of polish or compound. This finish enhances midlane stability while preserving energy for a defined, controllable backend motion across a wide range of medium-heavy oil conditions.
Ball Maintenance
Ball Maintenance
For a bowling ball with a 4000-grit Abralon factory finish, the key is keeping the surface clean and periodically refreshing the finish before lane shine changes the reaction. Wipe the ball with a shammy after every shot, clean it with an approved ball cleaner after each bowling session, and touch up the surface with a 4000-grit Abralon pad about every 20 games to maintain the original texture. As the ball absorbs oil and the surface wears, have it fully resurfaced to the factory finish every 30–50 games using Storm's recommended 500/2000/4000-grit process. Consistent maintenance helps preserve the ball's intended length, traction, and overall reaction on the lane.
