Just months after joining 900 Global, Erin McCarthy is already making history with the brand.
On Tuesday night in Las Vegas, McCarthy claimed the 2026 USBC Queens title, earning her second career major championship and third overall PWBA title. The victory came in just her third PWBA event since signing with 900 Global back in January.
Using the new Storm Bowling Rocket A.I. during the championship match, McCarthy showcased the calm, confident, repeatable style that has made her one of the most respected competitors in professional bowling. The Elkhorn, Nebraska native entered match play as the tournament leader after a remarkable 15-game qualifying total of 3,561 — one of the highest qualifying numbers in Queens history.
But for McCarthy, the accomplishment means even more considering everything she balances away from the lanes.
Outside of competition, she works full-time as a nurse in the Omaha, Nebraska area, managing the demanding schedule of healthcare while continuing to compete against the best players in the world. That balance between career, family, preparation, and elite competition has long made McCarthy one of the most admired athletes on the PWBA Tour.
According to the PWBA, McCarthy acknowledged the start of the season had not fully matched her expectations, describing it as a sluggish stretch. But once match play began at the Queens, she quickly found momentum and never let go.
Stepladder Finals
The stepladder finals featured one of the strongest fields of the season. Storm's Josie Barnes entered the finals as the defending Queens champion and was looking to become the event's first repeat winner in more than 40 years. Barnes has continued one of the most impressive stretches in bowling this year, recently taking the lead in All-Events at the USBC Open Championships while also recording perfect games at both the Open Championships and USBC Women's Championships. Her momentum carried into Las Vegas as she added multiple honor scores during Queens competition, further solidifying her position as one of the sport's premier competitors.
Also making the televised finals was Roto Grip's New Hui Fen of Singapore, the reigning PWBA Player of the Year and arguably the most dominant player on tour right now. Hui has made three consecutive championship round appearances to start the season — a second-place finish in Rockford, a win in Colorado, and now a third-place finish at the first major of the season.
A Major Moment for 900 Global
For 900 Global, McCarthy's victory represents another major moment in 2026 for the brand. To see one of the sport's most respected athletes win a major title so quickly after joining the team speaks not only to McCarthy's talent, but also to the confidence and trust she has built with her equipment and the team at SPI.
And for Erin McCarthy, the story feels far from finished.
From long nursing shifts in Nebraska to standing atop one of bowling's biggest stages, McCarthy continues to prove that passion, perseverance, and belief can still produce championship moments.
All of us at 900 Global, Roto Grip and Storm congratulate Erin McCarthy on winning the 2026 USBC Queens title.
