Wicked Gremlin

SKU: BBMRWG

The Gremlin is Back. And It’s Feeling Wicked.

When we launched the original Gremlin, it wasn't just a ball—it was a problem for the pins. But even the best mischief-makers need a darker side. Introducing the Wicked Gremlin, the next evolution in high-performance lane destruction.

We kept the heart of the original alive, but we’ve wrapped it in something far more sinister.

Core Technology

Rondure™ MaxD Core

Maxed Out. Again.

The heart of the GREMLIN Series is back. The Rondure™ MaxD Core continues its legacy as the highest RG and highest Differential option in the family. Why change perfection?

  • The Design: A precision-tuned density profile in the block and slug.
  • The Motion: Maximum length through the heads followed by a devastating, continuous backend.
  • The Benefit: Incredible "room for error" that turns "almost-strikes" into "no-doubters."

Other Balls with Rondure™ MaxD Core

Wicked Gremlin Core

The Engine: Same Heart, New Attitude

The Wicked Gremlin features the exact same core that made the original a staple in bags everywhere. You already know the motion; you already trust the backend. Why change a legend? We kept the core's predictable, high-torque shape to ensure that when this ball makes its move, it's a move you're ready for.

G-R1 Solid Reactive Coverstock

The Shell: G-R1™ Solid Reactive

This is where the mischief turns into a masterpiece. The Wicked Gremlin introduces the all-new G-R1™ (Grip-Response) coverstock — a nano-free formula engineered for a uniquely "tacky" adhesion that reads the mid-lane with incredible stability. Designed specifically for Medium/Heavy oil, it bites through the slick stuff to deliver strong, continuous motion without burning up too early or overreacting on the backend.

Ball Maintenance

Ball Maintenance

For a bowling ball with a 2000-grit Abralon® factory finish, the key is keeping the surface clean and periodically refreshing the finish before lane shine changes the reaction. Wipe the ball with a shammy after every shot, clean it with an approved ball cleaner after each session, and touch up the surface with a 2000-grit Abralon® pad about every 20 games to maintain the original texture.

Have More Questions?

Who is the Wicked Gremlin™ designed for?

The Wicked Gremlin™ is built for bowlers who need heavy-oil traction with a more controlled, continuous motion. It's the perfect option for fresh house shots and transitioning tournament conditions, and a great step-down when your aggressive asymmetrics start hooking too soon.

How does the Wicked Gremlin™ differ from the original Gremlin™?

Both balls share the same Rondure™ MaxD Core, so the overall motion profile and backend shape will feel familiar. The difference is in the cover. The original Gremlin™ uses the V-R1™ Pearl Reactive coverstock for a clean, angular snap, while the Wicked Gremlin™ introduces the new G-R1™ Solid Reactive coverstock — a nano-free formula that provides more mid-lane traction, a smoother transition, and a more predictable, continuous read through the pins on heavier conditions.

How do I maintain the 2000-grit Abralon® factory finish?

To keep the Wicked Gremlin™ performing as intended, wipe the ball after every shot and clean it with an approved ball cleaner after each session. Refresh the surface with a 2000-grit Abralon® pad approximately every 20 games to restore the original texture and maintain the strong mid-lane read the ball was designed to deliver.
