There’s no stopping New Hui Fen.
The Roto Grip pro has been on an absolute tear this season, and her latest win at the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open just solidified it. Climbing the stepladder with poise and power, New delivered four straight wins, including a nearly perfect 290 in the title match, and set a new stepladder scoring record with a total of 1,026 pins—the highest since the PWBA Tour’s relaunch in 2015.
It’s her third title of the year, second career major, and fifth PWBA title overall, making her officially eligible for the PWBA Hall of Fame.
This performance follows back-to-back wins at the BowlTV Open and Rock ’n’ Roll Open, where she became the first player in two years to take home titles in the same week. With every event, New has shown exactly what it means to rise to the moment—making the right moves, throwing the right ball, and executing when it matters most.
As the season builds toward the PWBA Tour Championship, New now leads the Player of the Year race—and she’s showing no signs of slowing down.
