Home State: Maryland
I started bowling at age 7. The hook was set when my dad and I won a youth / adult doubles tournament at Fair Lanes Woodlawn at age 10. I started drilling balls at age 17 and have kept up with all the technological changes in the game since. After high school, I qualified for the University of Maryland Bowling Team. My favorite tournament was the Collegiate Match Games held in St. Louis. After graduating I stayed on and coached the team to a #10 ranking and an undefeated conference season. I then managed bowling centers for the US Air Force, US Army and Brunswick Corporation. I currently manage The Lanes Fort Meade for the US Army. I met my wife in a military bowling center and even got married in house shoes. Today we bowl in sport leagues and love traveling with friends to tournaments. My proudest accomplishment is winning a gold medal at the National Senior Games in Mixed Doubles with my wife Deb. My main driving passion is coaching junior bowlers. Trying to give them the knowledge that I did not have when I was a junior. I’m proudest when juniors I coach get college scholarships and qualify for Junior Team USA. I have been a member of the Roto Grip Staff since 2002. Outside of bowling I enjoy golfing, going to car races, and watching the Baltimore Orioles.
