ERIN MCCARTHY

On Tour Since: 2015

Hometown: Omaha, Nebraska

Style: Right

I started bowling when I was 2 when my parents bowled a Saturday night mixed league. It wasn’t until my junior year of high school when I realized there were collegiate scholarships for bowling. It was at that point I began to take the sport a bit more seriously. I bowled for UNL for 1 year, then transferred to Midland University for my junior and senior year. When I graduated in 2012 there was no professional tour, and I actually went on to pursue my nursing degree at Creighton University. When I started working as a full time nurse at the beginning of 2014, the PWBA tour relaunch was announced. To be honest, I thought it would be something I’d do for a year or two and that would be it. Here I am entering my 11th season and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Between my busy travel schedule for bowling and full time night shift job as a critical care nurse I don’t have many “free” days. But, I do enjoy hanging out with my two dogs, Leo and Beckham, as well as spending time with family and friends back home!
