Storm Products, the industry leader in high-performance bowling balls, is proud to announce the implementation of a new manufacturing methodology designed to further enhance consistency and quality assurance.

The company has adopted the use of numbered punches when locating center of gravity (CG) markers on its bowling balls. This breakthrough process improves tracking and production control, ensuring each ball is monitored with even greater precision throughout its manufacturing journey.

“Storm has always been committed to pushing the limits of both performance and precision,” said Hank Boomershine, Chief Technology Officer. “By introducing numbered punches into our CG marking process, we can strengthen internal tracking and data accuracy without impacting the bowler’s experience. It’s an innovation that benefits our production teams while preserving the trusted performance standards Storm is known for.”

Importantly, the numbered punches are not quality indicators—no number signifies a higher or lower level of performance. Every Storm bowling ball continues to meet the same exacting standards of craftsmanship and consistency, regardless of the number used in the CG marking process.

Note: On some bowling balls, the numbered punch may not be visible. It could be hidden under the engraved CG marker or absent on balls manufactured before the installation of this new system.

This advancement highlights Storm Products’ dedication to innovation at every level, ensuring that bowlers worldwide continue to receive the highest quality equipment available.
