The Storm Products Creative Team is looking for a passionate UI/UX Designer who wants to make a big impact while experiencing the excitement of one of the fastest growing bowling brand within the industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing end-to-end projects and ensuring that all UI and GUI design is delivered, developed, tested, and launched successfully. They will have extensive experience designing beautiful, engaging user experiences for the web and mobile devices. The candidate is expected to be highly creative, highly organized, and develop awesome creative online solutions that will strengthen the overall experience of Storm’s brand.
Description of Duties
Collaborate with directors, customer service, product managers, developers, IT and designers to make user experience more intuitive and achieve product goals
Research, consider and apply user insights, feedback, measurements, and usability findings to designs and revisions
Contribute to consistent, resilient and effective user experience architectures and design templates, for short and long-term needs
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, detailed visual mockups and prototypes to communicate the strategy and interaction behaviors
Advocate for customers and partners in a corporate environment, helping everyone at Storm balance the intersection of design, content, and business needs
Teach user experience principles and design templates to product managers, designers and directors, helping improve overall user experience
Summary of Requirements
2-3 years related experience preferred
Undergraduate degree preferred, equivalent programs considered
Must have an eager interest in learning the intricacies of the bowling sport
Ability to prototype and develop templates in HTML(5)/CSS(3)/Javascript with responsive design
Ability to use JQuery and Bootstrap
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator in particular)
Portfolio demonstrating your work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions
Ability to quickly turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups
Strong awareness of common usability methods and principles
Ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively for different audiences and levels in the organization
Ability to thoughtfully focus in an agile environment
A clean sense of design aesthetics, and a natural inclination towards simplification over complication
Be organized and able to work within a production team while also being independent and a self starter
Be detailed oriented, able to take direction and interested in contributing new ideas and increasing the quality of production in all areas
Understanding of information technology, video and web standards is a plus
