PITCH PURPLE

The Storm Bolt logo is easily identifiable, and so should be your ball reaction. The Pitch Purple features a redesigned coverstock with the tried-and-true Capacitor Core. This not only retains the phenomenal control and feel of its predecessor, the Pitch Black™, but it also lives up to the iconic backend motion that Storm is renowned for. This high level of control will provide aggressive players with the license to swing for power. Finesse players will find their mark without fuss while the ball maintains ample power at the pins.

Tried and true Capacitor Core

Higher rev players and those with slower speeds are going to love the Capacitor Core as it is a true-rolling masterpiece. Pure predictability at its finest, this design makes you the ultimate master of your ball motion. The higher RG, lower differential will give the bowler a long and smooth roll on tougher conditions.

Phenomenal control, iconic backend.

Rev-Controll Urethane has enough backend potential to hit steep angles and confidently make it back to the pocket. This rare combination of urethane midlane with responsive backend is a bonus that makes this ball one of the most maneuverable balls to date.

Perfect inbetween ball
The Pitch Purple has a very unique place in the bag! When the Pitch Black is too early and reactive is still too much down lane, the Pitch Purple fits there very nicely. If you bowl on short sport patterns, have slow ball speed, or your home center is very dry, the Pitch Purple is for you!

Been bowling for 46 years and I have NEVER rolled an urethane ball like this before. During SPI Matchmaker events alot of the attendees would love this ball. So not knowing quite how to layout it out because of what I was seeing from the demos, I finally settled on 40 x 5 3/4 x 20 after talking with Travis Celmer, to help the back end to be a little sharper, and I was in total AWE by the motion and how much even in heavier oil in the mid to center part of the pattern, this ball to me a stronger version of the Hustle INK, which is becoming my all-time favorite ball to use on league nights. When leagues start back up after the virus scare is over, this will be the very first ball that will hit the pins for me.

Review:
The New Pitch Purple Urethane is a good looking Solid and an upgrade on the Pitch Black in my opinion. This new version uses a very good core called the Capacitor Core that delivers control and paired with the new urethane cover a nice back end and hit from a urethane ball. What I am seeing is a bit more hook than the Pitch Black mostly in the back end of the lane. The Pitch Purple is a bit cleaner through the front than I expected from regular urethane. Sometimes we give up some hit when we don’t use reactive but this ball will help in that regard because it creates more entry angle to the pocket. I also have some miss area to the dry with the Pitch Purple. The Pitch Purple has a different shape than other urethane balls and if a Pitch Black was not quite enough hook the Purple may just fit the bill for those bowlers. The Pitch Purple should be a good choice for the no thumb or high rev crowd or when the lanes get tore up after a lot of games thrown. I can also see this being big with the college bowlers. We have drilled a few of these and I like what I see from the power players as well as low speed stroker styles. This is more of a niche ball to help build an arsenal but another very good piece to have in the bag.

Summary:
The Pitch Purple delivers more hook than the Pitch Black.
This ball has a nice back end for a Urethane ball.
The Pitch Purple will be a nice addition to round out an arsenal.
The Pitch purple should be a hit for high rev or college bowlers.

Pitch Purple!
The Pitch Purple is our newest installment in the fantastic line of “urethane” we have. The Pitch Purple features the same low diff capacitor core found in the Pitch Black, but is now wrapped in solid rev control. This cover has additional additives that allow it to be cleaner, faster and more continuous downlane when compared to the Pitch Black. Anyone that likes super control pieces, the Pitch Purple is a must!!
