Its crazy how strong this hits

I drilled up my PHAZE 4 with a 5.5 x 28 lay out. This was an experiment layout to see if I could get something that ignored slightly burnt fronts and save energy for the back. I have lightly touched the surface with a used 2000 pad after trying at box surface the first night out.

The PHAZE 4 didn't disappoint. I have used this one after my ALTERED REALITY starts to go sideways on the back ends. I can also play tighter right up the oil line at the edge of the wet/dry which lightly touching the surface helped to smooth out. The colors are a little tough for me to pick up axis precession but that will come as it is a different look.

Compared to some other pearls, the PHAZE 4 is smoother than my RST-X2 and longer than my ZEN but not by much. I would rate these two closer in motion and where they start up. My DARK CODE is much longer and more violent on the back end than the PHAZE 4.

Grab this one if you like to keep tighter angles on wet/dry or league patterns that cliff up Adjust the surface lightly if you are getting too late of a break and leaving flat corners.

This is a great ball. This is what I expected the phaze 3 to be like. I will be changing the surface of the phaze 3 to compliment my phaze 2 for more backend pop. This ball threw messengers like crazy. Shot 973 for a 4 game set going between the P2 and the P4. Very excited to put up some honor scores with this ball! If you LOVE the P2 get the P4!

Used it for the first time. Really comes into the pocket hard. Ball has a great look. You can miss wide and still get it there

Review:
I tested the Phaze 4 on a 43ft 12:1 ratio Kegel house pattern.

This ball is very clean through the fronts given its R2S cover and responds quickly to friction. The shape that this ball gives me is very profound. It allows me to open up my angles a lot sooner when the lanes begin to transition. It's angular but controllable. It's a very strong competitor against the 900 Global Wolverine in my bag but the Phaze for has a slight advantage in overall backend motion.

Don't be afraid to change the surface on this ball. Scuffing it up a little bit out of the box will help with the over/under reaction on the fresh. And again this ball is VERY CLEAN through the fronts! This ball for me is great transition ball for me when the pattern forces me left and I can just bounce it off the spot downlane.

The Phaze 4 has Hy-Road features but the same Phaze personality. So if you have thrown the OG Hy-Road or the Pearl you will be familiar with the midlane read the Phaze 4 gives you and If you have thrown any of the Phazes's prior to this one you know how the Velocity core revs up and turns the corner continuously on the backend!

P.S.: 2 Handers if you haven't yet use the 2LS layout method it orientates and sets up the ball in a way in relation to your PAP and fingers to give you the best and optimal reaction out of your equipment!

Review:
The Storm Phase 4 gives plenty of motion and the back end most bowlers are looking for. Who doesn’t like to move in, corner hard and throw pins around? Even me with my lower rev rate can move deeper and trust this ball. I have used this ball on medium to oily lanes and have had a very nice look. I would put it between my Spectre and Altered Reality in total hook. The phase 4 is another fun ball to roll. The ball gets through the front nicely then makes a hard angular turn when it encounters friction. The Phase 4 corners harder than my Trend 2. The total hook of this ball is much more than I expected. Strong and angular symmetric balls are nice to have in your bag. The symmetric core gives angular balls more lane time before you need to adjust in my opinion. The strength of this ball combined with the entry angle it creates gives it excellent hit and carry. The Phase 4 seems to work well on multiple patterns. This is another fan favorite from our last ball Demo. The current lineup of the Storm, Roto and Global family of balls is the best I have ever seen.

Summary:
The Phase 4 is strong and angular.
The hit and carry is excellent.
The Root Beer Float smell is a treat!

This ball is amazing. The first game I threw with this ball was 250. I bowled a tournament and the first day it was fast and I could use it. The second day it was dry and I could still use this ball

Just got the Ph4ze drilled yesterday and threw it last night. Shot a 680. That was with 6 10 pins that very well could have been strikes. The the roll down the lane and it is very strong on the backend. Can't wait to throw it again

Very Predictable down lanes out of the box.

I started bowling again after 25 years. Bought a used Marvel Pearl.. fell in love with the ball.
Then I bought the IQ Nano-Tour Pearl.. got my first 4-Bagger with it.. then I moved onward and upward.. Now my Arsenal for League is UFO Alert, Hustle Wine (for serious transition) and RG poly for Spares..
Storm has made bowling fun again for me, not just because of the stellar quality of the equipment, but the excellent customer service at the Utah branch.

This ball was exactly what I was expecting given the history of the original Phaze and the Phaze 2. The all-new Phaze 4 has the proven Velocity core and is wrapped in one of Storm's most successful coverstocks, R2S Pearl. I drilled my Phaze 4.5x4x3.5 2ls, and it really helps the ball gets through the fronts and stay smoother through the mids, but still has a strong backend motion. I lightly scratched it with a 1000 grit abralon pad to take some of the factory surface off and it made a world of a difference. I can definitely see this ball game 3 in league or later in the block at a tournament.

The Phaze 4 (like the name insinuates) is the 4th generation Phaze ball. It features the same velocity core as the previous 3 domestically produced Phaze balls but is now wrapped in R2S pearl. I personally was a huge fan of the original Phaze. It offered a very heavy rolling and controllable medium friction option that rolled like nothing else we had in the line at that time. The second run of original Phaze were darker and more vibrant and were cleaner and faster downlane which seemed to fit more peoples eyes. Even so, I feel like it was very underutilized at the time. The Phaze 4 is a slightly catchier color scheme and is wrapped in our most responsive cover to date which will provide yet another very unique motion. The velocity core likes to stabilize extremely fast for a symmetrical core but since it’s wrapped in such a clean cover, it still wants to get farther downlane before using friction to slow down. This combo I believe will roll extremely well on lots of higher ratio conditions as well as games 5-8 in longer tournament blocks. When compared to the Dark Code, the Phaze 4 is much cleaner, weaker and more responsive off of friction. When compared to the Original Hyroad, the Phaze 4 is a touch earlier, stronger and slower to respond to friction downlane.
