Kayla Bandy
I am originally from Southern Virginia, spent a number of years in Eastern Kentucky, and now reside on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Throughout grade school, I played softball, volleyball, and my parents took me to bowling tournaments when I wasn’t on the softball field or the volleyball court. In college, I majored in Psychology, played collegiate volleyball, and bowled for Pikeville College. Professionally since college, I have been an Upward Bound Coordinator (TRiO program), Residence Life Director (Pikeville College), Student Activities Coordinator (Pikeville College), Head Bowling Coach (University of Maryland Eastern Shore), and bowled A LOT at the amateur and professional level. Fact: I have loved every “job” I have ever had!
Things I love most include, Jesus, family, friends that become family, exploration of new places and ideas, athletics, working out, and new Storm bowling balls in that order! Mainly, I enjoy being kind to people, serving others, and learning. Learning? Yes, learning about the world, things I am most passionate about (bowling, health and wellness, self-development, etc.), my friends’ adventures, and so on.
Most importantly, I am all-about personal growth and development. Most recent discovery: “Nothing epic happens in your comfort zone!” – Andrea Sager
