HONEY BADGER INTENSITY

The HB Revival features a twist on the famous Grapnel Core along with a cover that has never been used on a previous HB. The S70 Hybrid Cover gives the player the best of both worlds. Adequate traction in the oil combined with an angular reaction off the dry. The Grapnel 2.0 Core upgrades the original HB Core by offering dynamic integrity across all the weights while maintaining maximum length and backend the HB balls have become known for.

Grapnel 2.0

The Grapnel 2.0 Core quickly became known as a piece that will lope through the front part of the lane with very little effort and change directions sharply. Most heavy oil balls tend to feature lower RGs to promote early revolutions off the player’s hand. The Grapnel 2.0 has been built with length and backend in mind for heavy patterns.

S70 Coverstock

The S70 Solid Cover, finished at 4000 Grit Abralon, will provide more traction in the oil versus the polished hybrid cover found on the Honey Badger Revival. The Honey Badger Intensity will provide a dynamic skid/flip shape on the heavier patterns. This cover has been purposely engineered to give you a different look on heavy oil.

Review:
These new Global balls have really impressed me. I have liked every Global Ball I have rolled so far. The Intensity is no exception. The H.B Intensity does not hook as much as I expected but gives a nice roll through the front of the lane with a predictable move on the back end. I would consider it a medium –medium plus oil ball. The intensity fits under my Reality in hook and it is easy to ball down to it when the Reality is reading too early. I don’t feel the Mass Bias is too strong in this ball. It reminds me of the Rubicon balls in the Roto line as far as the Mass Bias letting the ball go a bit further down the lane. I did not drill my Intensity too strong but I have loaded them up for some customers moving the M.B close to the VAL and the ball still gets down the lane and doesn’t burn up. Once you line up with the Intensity you can stay with it a long time. This ball takes full advantage of any pattern with a shim also. I have had my best luck going up the boards just right of the heavier oil shim line. The Intensity does a good job of balancing power and control.

Summary:
The Honey Badger Intensity balances power and control.
The Ball reads the patterns very well.
This is a very good all-around ball.

HB Intensity by Roto Grip Rick
900 Global Honey Badger Intensity - S70 hybrid coverstock with the Grapnel 2.0 Core - 4000ab grit factory finish
layout - 70 x 1 1/2 x 60

The Honey Badger Intensity really has dug it's claws into me, (see what I did there)! Finally got to the one of the newest legendary bowling ball cores. The Grapnel 2.0 core proves once again to add length and great traction down lane that the Honey Badger line has produced in the past. With now adding the S70 hybrid cover stock onto this core has given the HB Intensity a totally different look that the HB line in the past did not have.

I noticed with this ball the motion is similar to a Roto Grip Idol solid with a similar layout, the Intensity went a tick longer off of the pattern with just a slightly stronger angle entering pocket. Great ball for any condition and any type of bowler. this ball is INTENSEity...

Kuddos to Bret Bowlers' Supply, Inc and Vise Inserts for their patience and assistance to help me learn the sport I love so much better...
