CODE X

With an intermediate differential that’s higher than any other ball in its line, the intuitive RAD4 Core provides pro shop professionals more fine-tuning possibilities for bowlers of all styles. At over 10% more midlane read than the Code Red, R2S Solid is a chassis that favors heavy oil. It’s a perfect marriage between cover and core machined to precise specifications to achieve optimal performance no matter the condition you throw at it.

Nothing like it at all

Radial Accelerating Disk technology dates back several generations with hints of it that can be found in the RAD4 Core. It features an extremely dense modified disc shape that generates substantial torque. So much torque, it reigns supreme at the top of the Premier line with a differential higher than any other weightblock in its class.

To strike, there must be friction

R2S is synonymous with some of the most successful balls in recent history like the Hy-Road, Frantic, and the IQ Tour. It is renowned for clearing the front part of the lane with an unprecedented movement on the backend. The consistency of this shell through the heads is something to be marveled at.

Heavy oil? No problem
Avg ball speed: 13-14 mph with a low-medium rev rate. All I had to do was put some more surface on this ball (TruCut 2000 grit) and BOOM. With a 0.58 differential you're definitely going to get a lot of hook out of this ball. As soon as you find your shape this strikes almost every time, and it's pretty fun to throw. Left the lane at a 264. Might not get as much pin *action* as the Sure Lock (another masterpiece) but man does it get a lot of pin **CARRY**. Having thrown both, I'd say the Sure Lock is more forgiving when the oil breaks down a bit, but otherwise, if you're hitting the pocket, you're getting a strike with this ball every time. Very rarely did I ever leave 10 pins on good throws.

I recently purchased the Storm Code X at my house Pro Shop. Ineefed a ball with back end reaction and it does the job. My only critique is that on an oily lane conditions it will not come in as I expected. I know I still need to learn my shot with the the new ball, but it is disappointing.

Storm Code X
The Storm Code X is amazing ball !! It haves a strong backend, and it the pins with full power. If you miss your mark by 2 to 3 boards it will still come back to the packet with full power. I really love this ball, I keep and in my arsenal !! ( Must Buy This Ball)

Considering im a beginner i need to start with a low weight ball so i bought a 13 pounder storm code x and its a stable, solid ball perfect for a tweener and a stroker type of bowler perfect for medium oil (the conventional bowling centre)

Best ball Storm has produced
The Code X is the best ball I have ever owned, its strong, predictable and very versital. I keep mine out of the box finish. Only had this ball for 7 weeks and my average has improved greatly. Thanks Storm for making the best bowling products in the World.

Code X
Got the Code X drilled 3 weeks ago and I've already thrown a 300 with it. Very versatile ball, I have drilled pin down with 4000 grit. Rolls great on the fresh but cannot get too greedy with wanting to use it when the transition hits.

CODE X BY ROTO GRIP RICK
Storm Code XLine: Premier
Core: RAD4 coreCover: R2S Solid
Finish: 3000 grit Flare: 6” plus
Layout: 50x5x50
The Storm CODE X is the latest Asymmetric ball added to the Premier Line. Using the lightweight RAD4 core and the proven R2S solid cover stock allows to add this to an already impressive line from Storm. I got to chance to demo this ball and then drilled one for myself shortly after that. Bowled on 45ft THS a few nights before my car accident, which is why this is a little delayed in getting reviewed by me. Since I am pretty close to a “spinner” I have my drilled with a 5 inch pin to help it get down the lane, which did help compared to my Sure Lock with a 3 ¾” pin layout. Did notice earlier and cleaner movement in the mid-point of the lane then a similar drilled CODE RED, but did save a good bit more energy in the back end for me then the SURE LOCK with notable better pin carry. Matching the core and cover was really a match made in heaven for any bowler that bowls in scratch tournaments and also heavy oil house conditions no matter what surface the lanes are.

Code X
I am 13 years old and I recently participated in a Storm & Roto Grip demo day at my local bowling alley. When I got to the Code X, I loved the smell it had, When I threw it, I really loved it. It has a nice reaction in the back end, reads really well. I want this ball in bag so bad. I really love it.

Storm Code X
The Code-X is storms newest premier line ball. The Code-X uses the same Rad-4 core found in all the previous Code series balls, but is now wrapped in R2S Solid. For anyone that was a fan of the Alpha Crux, this ball is a must have. It’s slightly cleaner, and a touch more downlane, but is by far the closest thing I have ever thrown to it. When compared to the IQTS, the Code-X provides similar traction front to back, but is much more in the midlane and slows down quicker due to the core being much stronger. I personally can see myself using this ball on fresh more difficult patterns, when controlling the front to back of the lane is a must. Head over to your local pro shop and preorder your own for the March 9th release date! #StormNation
