The Centroid symmetric core addresses a need that many value performance balls struggle with…a lower density. By shifting the weight more towards the center of the ball we have eliminated the over/under that many balls in this category struggle with. The Burners have been purposely engineered to give you a reliable reaction when the lanes have broken down.

S62 Coverstock

The S62 Cover has been proven on previous releases as a cover that balances out traction in the oil along with backend motion perfectly. By offering it in a solid and pearl version we have separated both balls enough to where you will see a noticeable difference. The Burner Solid will give you a very continuous shape, while the Burner Pearl will be a great option for moving in and opening up your angles.

Burner Solid review by Mike Craig
Burner Solid:
I drilled up my Burner Solid 4 x 25. The diff rating suggested a little more flare potential than the usual lower powered SPI offerings so I adjusted my back angle accordingly. Compared to my other lower end balls like the Hustles. the Burner is more on the backend. Same kind of push thru the front, just more responsive like my higher end balls. The Global offerings keep getting better and better....

The Burner Solid will not be a hook monster but does exactly what is designed to do. This ball is stronger than my Hustle PBR (I used the same 1500 plus polish for comparison) and seems to carry better for me. The Burner Solid creates a very nice controlled shape on the lane when other polished balls are reading the dry too strongly. This ball will fit between my Hustle PBR (with polish) and UFO Alert in my line up. The core and cover create a very predictable motion which is nice on lanes that are wet dry or have stripped back ends. The Burner line is very easy for me to trust for motion and carry even with its lower price point. I have drilled this ball for various styles but my Higher Rev crowd is seeing excellent t results. I am not sure if any of the Burners will make it into the Match Maker Ball Demos but I would love to see that happen. The Burner line is a great option for bowlers who want much more punch than an entry level reactive ball or bowlers building a complete arsenal. This could be a great addition to a tournament arsenal. It has found a way into mine.

The Burner Solid rolls like a higher priced ball.
The control and hit of this ball are very good.
The Color is nice and looks good rolling down the lanes
This ball should work well for all styles of bowlers.

Bang for your Buck!
I drilled my Burner Solid with a 4.25 X 75 layout, as pin down layouts tend to just work better for me, yes even on symmetric balls! This is exactly what you’d expect out of a ball at this price point through the front part of the lane, but there’s a surprising amount of shape and continuation through the pins down lane. The solid cover helps it not completely miss the mid-lane, even with the factory shine. To me, this looks like it will be a house condition monster from game 1 to game 3. You won’t be forced to play massive steep angles and transition should be a little more subtle and not an arrow in either direction once it begins. Being a moderate rev rate player, I was able to start a little right of the track area pretty close to the friction zone in my center, and make small moves as I progressed through the night. Very predictable and surprisingly powerful ball, a GREAT value for your money!
