AXIOM

Design is thinking made visual. In Storm’s case, it’s design materialized. We understand that the perceptible is as important as the tangible. NeX (Nano Extreme) is Storm’s earliest reading cover to date. NeX Solid was remarkably earlier hooking than NRG on any pattern, or any surface we tested it on. We love all things new at Storm, and the Orbital Core is no exception. This modern take on an established concept has us stirring with excitement. The Orbital Core has a distinctly low RG axis which further complements the midlane read for which NeX was developed.

Our planned rotation worked exactly as planned.

The Orbital Core has a distinctly low RG axis. The lower the RG, the less resistant the ball will be to changing direction as it travels down the lane. The central ball inside the core ensures the ball revs up in the midlane and blends out the end of the pattern.

Strong just got stronger.

NRG™ has become a staple in Storm’s lineup of coverstocks for nearly a decade. It’s due time for an upgrade! NeX (Nano Extreme) is Storm’s earliest reading cover to date. NeX Solid was remarkably earlier hooking than NRG on any pattern, or any surface we tested it on. Our standardized durability and longevity tests showed NeX created 11% more entry angle and 9.6% more overall hook after 50 shots compared to a fresh NRG cover. Simply put, NeX gives more midlane read than ever WITHOUT sacrificing any backend! Wow.

Review:
The New Storm Axiom may be my favorite big hooking Storm ball so far! The Axiom is a great core to cover match and even though it reads the lane rather quickly it never quits. Normally I like Asymmetric balls for hook on heavy patterns but the Axiom exceeded my expectations on the wetter lanes. I feel that when using a Symmetric ball like the Axiom, you don’t have to move as much or as quickly as when rolling an Asymmetric. The Axiom is very strong but predictable. The Axiom hits and carries great and can be used from different angles with great success. The Axiom also polishes well but still provides a lot of hook potential. The color of this ball is very nice and polish makes it look even better while giving it a bit more length and back end. The Blueberry Muffin Scent is also a fan favorite of my aroma customers. I have been able to use this Strong ball longer than most before I ball down which is good because I do not want to put it down!

Summary:
The Axiom is very strong and handles wet lanes easily.
The hit and carry is fantastic.
My customers like the color and the smell!
The Axiom will be very popular at our shops.

Next BIG idea from Storm
Axiom
RG / Diff: 2.55 / .049
Ball Specs: 3000 grit - solid NeX coverstock / Orbital Core
Layout: 80 x 2 1/2 x 45
What I liked: I liked that you could really identify the change in direction and also, the hitting and “staying” power of the ball all the way through the pin deck. The flare was a little less than I thought it would be, but it even made me happier seeing the ball finish like it did in the backend part of the lane, which on the fresh THS is was great. Once I seen the ball start to carry down lane a little longer, I woud just close my angles down a smige instead of going up with a stronger piece. Great all around THS or tournament benchmark ball that packs a brutal punch through the pins.

Axiom!!
The Axiom is storms newest premier line nano based ball. The orbital core inside the Axiom is a low RG high differential core with a central ball shape. The ball ensures the Axiom transitions smoothly between its stages of precession without sacrificing continuation through the pins. This core is wrapped in a brand new formulation of cover called NEX which stands for nano extreme. This is currently storms earliest reading cover to date and definitely lives up to its name. When first throwing this ball, I got some serious marvel S vibes. It feels very similar with the exception of a little more midlane traction. When compared to the Phaze ll, the Axiom is a zone earlier and much higher friction. I can definitely see myself using the Axiom as a ball to blend heavier league conditions and fresh medium sport patterns. I can also see myself letting it lane shine and using it as a ball down from an Idol or Omega Crux. Make sure you head over to your local Storm VIP pro shop and order your very own Axiom today! #StormNation

Too good
Helped staff players during the WSOB with this ball since it was brand new there. The Axiom might be one of the most versatile balls I have ever seen. Coverstock works well shined, out of box or dull. We had four patterns at the WSOB and this ball worked well on each of them. Highly recommend adding this to your arsenal.
