An Industry First

The inception of the Dual-Drive was born of a sprawling development process that has spanned years. This could not be achieved without placing a weight block of specific size and shape inside of another weight block. The outer weight block incorporates strategically placed geometric shapes that, in conjunction with the inner weight block, establishes a new standard in bowling ball motion – faster revving action with a higher level of energy transfer at the pins.

To strike, there must be friction

R2S is synonymous with some of the most successful balls in recent history like the Hy-Road, Frantic, and the IQ Tour. It is renowned for clearing the front part of the lane with an unprecedented movement on the backend. The consistency of this shell through the heads is something to be marveled at.

Bought the timeless for my first reactive bowling ball and i was genuinely amazed how versatile, reliable, powerful and yet forgiving the ball was. AS someone who is quite new to bowling and plays 2-handed, within the first hour i was able to top my previous best by 7 pins and the ball still has plenty in it.

Just what I need
My Timeless has been great and I love the powerful hook it has. I cannot tell you the amount of times I threw it off the mark almost into the gutter but it has pulled through in the end and gotten me a strike! It have really helped me even though I have only been bowling in a league for about a year now.

When I first got the ball on the day of release of loved it. Now that I had it since it is now dead. This was my first ball that was not a Hammer. I keep it well maintained (Woodlawn Discount Pro Shop). I give it a 5 for when I first got it and now I give it a 1 because It died on me so fast. I am a two hander and the ball goes straight now no matter how much I slow it up.

I'm normally about it two teen average bowler, it was towards the end of the year so I cleaned it up put them I ball rack for next year along with I'm going to get the Roto Grip no rules Pearl and the code red.

Just recently I got my timeless and wow! What can I say about how this ball has performed for me. I have a 300 and a 800 with this ball in less then 2 weeks. The ball clears the fronts really easy and gives me confidence that the ball will come back because of its reaction to the end of the pattern. This ball is one of my favorites in my bag. I pretty much have all Storm/Roto gear in my bag. If you haven't got the Timeless yet, you should definitely try one out! This ball is the perfect example of a skid/flip reaction ball! So far after bowling 2 weeks with the Timeless. I've shot 815,791 with a 300 game. This ball got me back on track where I need to be at to compete. Once again, if you haven't tried this ball yet, go to your nearest pro shop and get one. Btw I'm a 225-230 average bowler of a rev rate of about 350-380 with 36 (300) games and 5 (800) series. Thanks again Storm and Roto for making the best equipment! #StormNation #OwnIt #BowlUpAStorm #Timeless

Timeless out of the box
After watching videos about the Storm Timeless bowling ball,I decided to buy it Saturday morning. Storm is my ball of choice, already having a Pyro and Sure Fire both bought used. Timeless would be my first new Storm purchase and it didn't disappoint. Bowled a 264 in league play on Sunday night in game 4. Looking forward to getting more practice with it before bowling this Sunday night....it could be my 300 ball

Just as good as the Original Hy-road
I love this ball just as much as the Original Hy-road. Clears the fronts with no problem and comes off the backend nicely giving those pins a decent beating. The Timeless and Hy-road go hand in hand together. When the Timeless is too strong I ball down to the Hy-road. Timeless my new favourite addition to my arsenal.

Best Ball I've ever owned
I have been throwing the storm virtual gravity for the last few years, And I love this ball, I needed something that could read the lanes better but still deliver a nice hook at the end. I have found that ball in the timeless! With the Cover stock, I can use it in a oily conditions, Dry conditions and even regular league conditions. It is by far my favorite ball I have ever owned, and by far the most versatile.

Timeless Impressions
I drilled a 5" x 3" x 3" Timeless for my bag.

I was a bit confused when the Timeless was announced because the numbers were so close to the HyRoad I wondered why Storm would release a ball so similar. Since the ball I have in this layout is tiring out and I was looking for another in a drilling I'm beginning to trust a lot. I chose this for the Timeless.

I am very surprised at how smooth and strong this ball is. As Hank Boommershine said to me in a phone call "it's sort of a blend between a Marvel Pearl and a HyRoad". Boy is he right!

The Marvel Pearl is one of my favorite balls of all time as it always seems to get easy down the lane but read just early enough not to miss the back of the lane. And as most now have seen the HyRoad can give you some pretty good shape on the back of the lane. The motion is just one you have to see in your own hands - I invite anyone to come test it for themselves in our MatchMaker kit.

While I wasn't all that thrilled with the ball at first, it is quickly becoming a ball I want to get to as the lane changes and goes through transition. Soon I'll drill a pin down version to compliment it as well. I think the ball is good enough to have two in your bag.

New Ball
I was looking for a new ball. I am a recreational bowler with a 160 average. I really loved how this ball looked and performed. I asked a couple of people if they thought I could handle and they said I should be able to. It came in just as city tournament was about to start. I used this ball right away and have been consistently about 15 pins above my average. I love this ball. It was probably one of the best purchases I could have made.

Truly, the best of both worlds
Last night, I drilled up the new Storm Timeless. Having bowled with Storm products for the last 15 years, I've come to know and expect a certain kind of performance from these products; consistency, power, predictability and strong ball motion.

When the concept of a Signature ball was first introduced, I wasn't sure what to think. Frankly, I'm always skeptical of any product that is built around an endorsed athlete and while I mean no disrespect to any athlete that is fortunate enough to be afforded the opportunity, it's important that the product perform above all the rest. When the initial ball in this line was going to be produced with heavy influence from Jason Belmonte, I was intrigued to say the least. Then it was announced that the major components being used to develop this ball were the HyRoad and IQ series, it was apparent that I needed to have one.

This ball did not disappoint.

The ball was drilled in the OOB, 1500 Polished surface preparation and I don't foresee needing to change that. What can you say about the R2S cover stock that hasn't been said already? Simply put, one of the best covers ever to wrap a bowling ball and it proves it mettle once again in the Timeless. Over the years, I have found the initial finishes on most of my new polished Storm products to be a little wishy-washy for the first nine to twelve games. Right around games 13-15, when that shine has started to loosen up a bit, I've found, particularly the HyRoad, to be off the chart. The Timeless appears to be the exception to that, as right out of the box, I found the cover preparation to be all but perfect; easy length, great mid-lane read and transition into the friction and strong, no, STRONG, continuation through the pin deck.

The center that I compete in is an older establishment with AMF Wood Lanes and AMF A2 pinsetters. When laying this ball out, I took time to carefully consider the strength of this ball and the fact that I would be predominantly competing on a house condition with a lot of friction. Our THS is a basic recreation shot, 38 feet with a fair minimal taper at the end of the pattern. Over the years, it has been an occasional struggle to find a ball that would, in conjuction with a proper layout, blend that pattern on the fresh and still carry. Many balls would be jumpy or over-under, which could be adjusted with layout and surface, but would force you to an undesirable part of the lane to avoid traffic or to switch balls more frequently. The Timeless proved to be an exception to that rule as well.

Driving the Timeless is the new Dual Drive Weight Block which, at first glance, appears to be a simple symmetric weight block, with mild cutaways and the unique core inside a core idea. However, the engineering brain-trust at Storm have outdone themselves with this new concept. This engine is strong, predictable and powerful, while showing a ball motion that might seem from the back, as a more asymmetric ball motion, and retaining its energy for the impact into the pins. The beauty of what has been created here, and a feature that I haven't seen this prominently in a ball, Storm or otherwise in recent memory, is how low the pins stay on the pin deck. The power through the deck as extraordinary, but the increase in carry from pins simply hitting other pins down low is a feature that I don't recall seeing quite like this since the introduction of the HyRoad.

Overall, my initial reaction to this new release is that it is an exceptional bowling ball, meeting or exceeding all of it's design intents; clean, predictable, powerful and forgiving, the new Storm Timeless is aptly named and will be as timeless in the Storm lineup as the HyRoad has been.

I absolutely love this ball. Out of box i had to hit this with a heavy 4000 to eliminate the over/under I usually get with factory polish, but after that holy cow this ball came alive. In my eyes this is a 5 board stronger hyroad. With my rev rate I couldn't get the hyroad to roll well for me but this helps. I definitely recommend this ball to anyone who would love a stronger hyroad!
