For the new 2Fast™ and 2Furious™, we wanted a reliable, proven coverstock that we knew would provide a clean glide through the heads and attack the drier boards on the backend. So we chose the R2S™ material that is aggressive and durable like so many other balls in the Storm product line.
Making this new piece available in either a pearl (2Fast) or solid (2Furious) was a must. We presented the 2Furious with a 2000-grit Abralon® matte finish to provide better traction and the 2Fast with a highly polished finish to create a smoother glide to the break point.
Oil patterns are different from day to day and night to night, even game to game. So, we gave you, the bowler, the option of choosing your best fit. If you’re PDW, you’ll gravitate towards the solid. Norm Duke, on the other hand, might jump all over the pearl!
Looking under the hood, you’ll find an entirely new shape known as the N.O.S. ™ weight block/core system. We created an increase of flare potential by more than 15% with this higher volume core. This new shape, with its elevated differential, created in a stronger ball motion when tested against the original Turbine core.
