2014 PBA50 Winners

All the Winners from the 2014 PBA50 Season

Story by:  Jef Goodger •

The 2014 PBA50 Tour will feature the six highest-earning Professional Bowlers Association bowlers of all time. Led by two-time defending PBA50 Player of the Year Walter Ray Williams, Jr., last year's PBA50 Rookie of the Year Pete Weber takes the second spot.

Coming in at third and fourth all time are two of the PBA50's formidable rookies: Norm Dukeand Parker Bohn III, respectively. Fifth is Brian Voss, making his return to the PBA50 Tour after taking a couple years off due primarily to injuries. Rounding out the top six is Amleto Monacelli, who dominated the PBA50 Tour last season through qualifying, although he was only able to capture one title.

Major Championships

Returning to Las Vegas in back-to-back weeks are the Senior U.S. Open and USBC Senior Masters as the PBA50 stars fight for major supremacy. Last season, Monacelli won the Senior U.S. Open while Weber grabbed the USBC Senior Masters. The only major title Weber hasn't won on the PBA Tour is the USBC Masters, and he's one for one on the PBA50 Tour.

Can either of these bowlers repeat? The obvious answer is yes, but it won't be easy. With the usual formidable competitors like Williams, Randy Pedersen (who is in his first full PBA50 season after debuting with a victory in the middle of the 2013 season), Wayne Webb, Ron Mohr, Bob Learn, Jr., Tom Baker, the returning Voss and more, there is also yet another incredible class of rookies making these tournaments harder to win for everyone else.

PBA50 Rookies

Last year was pretty impressive for rookies. Randy Pedersen won his first ever PBA50 event, Pete Weber joined the tour and won two titles and Jack Jurek made a few runs deep into match play.

Now, add a few more to the list. How about these three as just a sample of the talent eligible for the PBA50 Tour this season: Norm Duke, Parker Bohn III and Mike Scroggins. The PBA50 Tour is not getting any easier for anybody.

The PBA50 Tour generally draws substantial crowds to each tour stop, featuring the greats of the past, many of whom are still in or near their primes, all competing on the grandest stage for bowlers over the age of 50.

Below is the complete list of winners for the 2014 PBA50 Tour. Bold denotes a major championship.
