Storm's Steve Kloempken made the long haul from Ogden, Utah to Butte, Montana worthwhile last weekend capturing his third career Ringin' Ten Classic title.

The 2014 Ringin' Ten edition, held at Star Lanes, had 196 entries and paid $2400 for first place.

Josh Link was second, Alfredo Lopez was third, Clay Reese finished fourth and Andy Kinney was fifth.

"I used mainly the Marvel Pearl in qualifying," said Kloempken. "I used the Zero Gravity and Hy-Road Pearl on Sunday. Both rolled great and they really played well off each other based on how the lanes broke down. Harry Shafer and Mark Hodges put on a spectacular tournament at Star Lanes in Butte, Montana each year. It’s called the Ringin’ Ten because the carry gets really tricky, especially late in the day. Always a large number of great bowlers from throughout the northwest, so it’s really an achievement to win this prestigious tourney."

"I've been going for a decade now and have been fortunate to win it three times. It has a great payout for all the 48 qualifiers."
