Bowling News USA - January 20, 2014 Jamie Bottomley, Haylee Rumkee Victorious at Storm Irish Open

 

England's Jamie Bottomley and Haylee Rumkee captured the men's and women's title in the 26th Storm Irish Open Tenpin Bowling Championships, which concluded Sunday afternoon at Leisureplex Stillorgan in Dublin, Ireland. 

In the men's championship match in best-of-three games format, Bottomley defeated his compatriot Jason Agate, two-games-to-one, to win the 4.000 Europ top prize. On the women's side, Rumkee defeated Hollie Fleming of Scotland to take home 1.000 Euro. 

The tournament was sponsored by Storm Products.

The 26th Storm Irish Open Tenpin Bowling Championships ran from January 15-19 at 18-lane Leisureplex Stillorgan in Dublin, Ireland. Men and women bowled in separate division. The tournament offered total prize fund of 17.500 Euro. 

The field was trimmed to 16 men and 16 women, who determine the finalists in single-elimination match play over two games, total pins. The finalists battled it out for the title in best-of-three games. 

The men's champion received the 4.000 Euro top prize, while the women's champion got 1.000 Euro.
