Storm staffer David Simard of Granby, Quebec won the gold medals at the 2012 Canadian National Championships taking place at Classic Bowl in Mississauga, Ontario from May 18-21, 2012.

Simard used a Storm Vivid™ and Nano™ Pearl during the competition.

150 of the top bowlers in Canada - 96 men and 54 women - were vying for a place on the Adult and Youth Team Canada for 2013 bowled 18 games preliminaries before the top 18 men and top 12 women determined the champions in 12 match play games.

"I would like to thank Storm for the great equipment," said Simard.

Three-time defending champion Caroline Lagrange won her fourth consecutive women's national title finishing with 6380 30-game total including bonus pins. Lynne Gauthier of Winnipeg, Manitoba was 159 pins behind to earn the silver medal with 6221. Jo-Ann Sanesac of Napierville, QC, took the bronze medal with 6168.

Simard beat out defending champion Dan MacLelland of St. Laurent, QC for the men's title by 189 pins with 6772 to 6583. Art Oliver Jr. of Hamilton, Ont. finished third with 6555.

At the conclusion of match play, the top six men and six women earned automatic spots on Team Canada for 2013.

Completing the adult team are: Isabelle Rioux, Trios Rivieres, QC, Jennifer Park, Nanaimo, British Columbia andValerie Calberry, Brampton, ON for the women and George Lambert IV, formerly of Hamilton, ON and now living in Justin, Texas, Francois Lavoie, Quebec City, QC, and Joe Ciach, Mississauga, ON for the men.

Two adult men and women will be selected by the CTF selection committee to complete the adult team.
