Bowling News USA - April 17, 2012 Mike Jasnau Providing Coaching Instruction in Reno for 2012 USBC Womens Championships

Storm instructional staff member Mike Jasnau will be set up in Reno for video analysis lessons throughout the 2012 USBC Women’s Championships. Mike will be coaching on Lane 81 in the Lane 81 Pro Shop at the National Bowling Stadium 300 N. Center Street in Reno during this event which runs from April 14th through July 8th.

Mike, who is a USBC Silver certified coach as well as a PBA Champion and Bowlers Journal Top 100 Coach, has done over 8000 video analysis lessons. Jasnau has spent the last fourteen years coaching at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno. During that time he has helped thousands of bowlers of all calibers to improve their game, including many PBA touring pros and Storm Pro staff members.

“I have worked with Mike over the years in Reno, and he continues to have that keen sense of fine tuning someone’s game,” Commented Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, Director of Coaching Certification and Development for the USBC. “Physical game changes are not the only thing that Mike will attack. He is always willing to listen to questions about all aspects of your game and helps to build confidence it what you can do. Bowlers at all levels, will benefit from Mike’s personal touch that makes you want to come back for more. I will be booking my lesson for June.”

“Mike Jasnau is one of the best coaches our sport has to offer,” said Steve Kloempken, Storm’s Technical Director. “Whether you bowl once a week just for fun or hit every tournament you can find, Mike’s sure to help you improve your scores.”

Jasnau uses one of the only C.A.T.S. (Computer Aided Tracking System) systems in the west on Lane 81. C.A.T.S. is able to provide important information on what your ball is doing on the lane. Ball speed and speed control are measured to a tenth of a mile per hour. Accuracy is measured to a tenth of an inch. Launch angles and entry angles are measured to a tenth of a degree. Actual rev rate and consistency of rev rates will also be checked. In addition to this valuable information, a full video analysis is part of the lesson. As in recent years, lessons will be recorded on DVD with audio. Mike will have the 2012 USBC Women’s Championships lane pattern on Lane 81 for all CATS and video lessons. The complete CATS lesson includes the following:

  • Complete Computer Analysis
  • Full video analysis of your game
  • Personalized instruction
  • Tips on how to improve
  • Take home DVD of lesson

The total cost for this complete package is $145 and takes about 90 minutes. A video analysis without the CATS data will also be available for a cost of $100 for an hour session. All bowlers taking a lesson will also receive a coupon for $10off of Storm equipment. Available CATS and video analysis time slots may be limited so please book your lesson reservations ahead of time by calling Mike at 775-335-8841.
