Bowling News USA - December 12, 2011 Storm Supports The Fight Against Diabetes.

November is National Diabetes Month and Storm PBA staff member, Ryan Shafer, spent the month doing his part to help fight this deadly disease! 

Shafer, who suffers from Type I diabetes, helped put together a fundraiser to support the Diabetes Research Institute.  Throughout the month of November his fundraiser collected a $3 donation from league participants.  For the donation participants were entered into a month long tournament.  Bowlers had to pay $3 each week for that score to count.  There were three divisions, including men’s scratch and handicapped and women’s handicapped.  The prizes for the tournament included balls, bags, and Ryan Shafer jerseys.    “Overall, it was a great success due to the hard work of my friends and the generosity of Storm,” commented Ryan Shafer.
