Bowling News USA - November 30, 2011 Hank Boomershine Becomes USBC Gold Coach

For many years, Hank Boomershine has been considered one of the best bowling coaches in the world.  The Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Storm Products, Inc. recently became the USBC’s newest Gold Level Coach.  His passion for bowling paired with his knowledge of the game and bowling products, allow Hank to give bowlers of all levels the instruction necessary to improve their game.

The USBC’s Gold coaching certification program is the culmination of years of knowledge and experience.  It is the equivalent of earning a PhD in a field of study.  To earn the certification, candidates must demonstrate their knowledge through practical application and discussion.  They must conduct lessons and clinics for bowlers of various skill levels while being evaluated by the final review board, which consists of active USBC Gold coaches and USBC staff. 

Hank has spent many years working in the bowling industry.  Before being named the VP of Sales and Marketing, he was the President of Roto Grip, a Tour Consultant for Storm Products, Inc., and owner of Cutting Edge Pro Shop in Akron, Ohio.  He also bowled collegiately at West Texas State University, where he graduated with a BS in Biology and Wildlife Science.  He continued his education at West Texas A&M University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Biology and Wildlife Management.

“It’s a great honor,” commented Hank. “It’s been a lot of years and a lot of hard work to get to this point.”

Hank has been ranked as one of the top 100 coaches in the world from 2007-2010.  Many touring professionals and top amateurs have benefited from Hank’s coaching expertise. 

Hank’s knowledge in all aspects of bowling make him a huge asset to not only Storm Product’s, Inc., but to the world of bowling.
