Here are some of the happenings from High Roller:
"Law Enforcement On The Lanes" will make its debut at Sam's Town from May 14 to 17.
High Roller is rolling out this new event in 2012 that puts current and former law enforcement personnel on the lanes with their guests to compete for team, singles & doubles purses. Each 4-person team must include at least 2 players with a law enforcement background. More info on this event, which is presented by Roto Grip, will be available soon. But its not too early to start getting your teams together!
Speaking of teams, Billy McAllan from San Antonio, became the first team captain to submit his 6-bowler team for the upcoming 2012 Military Bowling Championships! His team "Proud Vets" bowls in the Retired Division and has been competing for many years in this very prestigious annual event. The Championships, ready for its 55th return to Las Vegas, has been called "the largest gathering of active duty and retired military personnel for a sporting event in the world!" This year's event runs January 15 - 20 at both Gold Coast and Orleans Casino/Hotel/Bowling Centers. It has been totally filled in 4 of the past 5 years!
The Championships are presented by Storm Bowling Products & Boyd Gaming and co-sponsored by Pepsi, Jack Daniels, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Enterprise Auto Rental, K&K Bowling Services, Turbo 2N1, Buddies Pro Shops, 3G Shoes and Bowlers Journal International.
- The August Military Veterans team/singles/doubles event, presented by Roto Grip and hosted by Sam's Town in Las Vegas is just 2 weeks away from its 4th annual start. This event features 4-person teams in handicap competition but includes scratch prizes as well as mixed and senior prizes. Each team must contain at least 2 players with a military background and up to 2 guests. With 68 teams already registered, the event has already passed last year's record of 50 teams.
There is still time to enter a team or enter by yourself and join a team that needs another player. Call us soon at 1-800-257-6179 as there are still team and individual spots left.

The emphasis is on prizes as an incredible 1 out of 4 will cash in that event! There is only one main event that week but the championship round will feature a bowler from each of the 3 age divisions: 50 to 59, 60 to 66 and 67 and over. There is also bonus qualifying for 70 & Over!
Just prior to the match play finals of the Classic, there is a special free event for those players that did not make the cut. In that event, there are cash prizes but more importantly, the top 2 players from each age division will advance to the match play finals trying to earn that $15,000 top prize!
