Bowling News USA - January 17, 2011 2011 Military Bowling Championships Underway in Las Vegas

The 54th annual Military Bowling Championships are underway in Las Vegas with record entries. The tournament, sponsored by Storm Products, runs January 16 - 21. Two sites in Las Vegas are hosting the event: Gold Coast Casino and Bowling Center and The Orleans.

The Military Bowling Championships brings together military bowlers from worldwide assignments to participate in outstanding competition.

The event features 6-player Team, Doubles and Singles, Sweepers and a Mixed Doubles event. Over 1100 bowlers will be competing.

"The event gets better every year," said High Roller's (Tournament Manager) Brad Edelman. "The competition is great, and the bowlers are here to see their friends and the people they served with. The bowlers are having a wonderful time."

There are three separate divisions: Active Duty, Retired and Senior Retired and the event is certified by USBC.

Storm representatives, including ESPN PBA Tour Analyst Randy Pedersen and USBC Hall of Famer Bob Hart, are onsite.
