Bowling News USA - July 20, 2009 WSOB PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Rhino Page Bio and Predictions

Seattle, Wash. - 7/19/2009

RHINO PAGE OVERVIEW
The man they call Rhino followed up a stellar amateur career and probably the greatest rookie season in PBA history in 2007-2008 with a solid sophomore season in 2008-2009. With a win in the Lumber Liquidators Shark Championship for his second Tour win and a heartbreaking runner-up finish in the H&R Block Tournament of Champions (he threw a four-count in the 11th to lose to mentor Patrick Allen 267-263), Rhino shook off a slow start to the season to establish himself as one of the front-runners for top lefty honors on Tour. Page also had a breakout performance in the Japan Cup with a televised 300 game (earning a $100,000 bonus)

JASON’S TV RECAP UNCENSORED” WSOB PREDICTION

Despite this being Rhino’s third season on Tour, since he earned his exemption in 07-08 through the TQR’s and had to make the adjustment to being seeded directly into the fields in 08-09, it is really the first time he’s had a chance to really know what to expect as an exempt player. That fact should help Rhino get off to a quicker start at the World Series of Bowling this season in addition to the fact that he and Allen, who are virtually inseparable (Page even moved recently to Allen’s hometown of Wesley Chapel), feed off of and learn from each other’s success. Page is an ambitious and consistent player, and if he can get a few breaks and have a bit more success on TV, he definitely could be a Player of the Year candidate this season.
