Accomplishment: Bowling in the OHSAA Kick Off Classic, the Storm sponsored Westerville South bowling team won the prestigous season opening tournament. Westerville South qualified 11th and won 4 best-of-five baker game matches for the victory. Westerville South bowler Bryan Stehmeyer, qualified for the all tournament team using a Hy Road. Westerville South Boy's coach, Mike Craig, said this was a total team effort. "All eight rostered players contributed to the tournament victory. This is indicative of the type of student-athlete the Westerville South bowling program produces each season and a testament to how hard our student-athletes work on being a good team and even better people. We thank Storm for there support and for making some of the best equipment on the planet. Our program is grateful for the chance to represent the 'Bowlers Company'. " The Ohio High School Athletic Association Kick Off Classic is the largest high school bowling tournament in the United States. The invitational field featured the defending Ohio state champions, several defending conference, sectional, and district champions, along with all of the previous seasons state qualifiers.
