Accomplishment: On 12/09/09 I bowled a sanctioned 300 game using a Storm Hy-Road. This is the 2nd sanctioned 300 of my bowling life and the first one I've had in 37 1/2 years. My first sanctioned 300 game was April 28, 1972 in Chicago, IL. After a layoff from bowling of 15 years from league play and not bowling at all for 12 years I am thrilled with my accomplishment and that my wife and daughter were with me to witness it. I just moved from Illinois to Texas earlier this year and decided to join a mixed league with my family so we could have a night out. When we started the league I still had my 15+ year old AMF Angle Urethane ball and found out quickly that I needed new equipment to be able to compete with the big guns in the league. The pro shop owner at Fast Track Pro Shop in Allen Texas, Kurt Gengelbach, a regional tour regular on the pro tour, suggested I try the Storm Hy Road based on the lane conditions at the center. I had never used a reactive resin ball before and it took some getting used to because my hook was quite a bit larger with this ball. Since I started using this ball I was knocking on the 300 door quite a few times recently but it finally happened. Thanks to the expert drilling of Kurt and the guidance he provided, I'm now up to a 217 average, the highest of my life.
