Tremper wins 3rd Boards & Balls Tour title!

Name: Jeff Baker

Storm Product: Various

Accomplishment: Ft. Meade turned on 22 lanes for the 40 Boards Nation to do battle on Kegel's Rt.66 pattern. It wasn't clear who was going to win the 8 game tournament early as the scoring pace was slow. The field was feeling the lanes out one shot at a time. At one point, the right handers looked worried as 3 out of 4 left handers were in the top 6. One thing was clear, the lefties were finding their way to the pocket early and often. The right handers saw the move a little slower as a group but once the bowlers started moving their break point inside of 10, the scoring pace picked up. As the games went on, we saw some big games come from a few bowlers and all of them used their big games to leap frog up into the money. With the cash spots undecided down the stretch, every spare was as important as the next strike. The day concluded with Joe Tremper winning his first title this year and his 3rd BBT title overall as he won two last season. Joe continued his winning way by winning Quick ‘N Cheap Sunday at Shirley. 40 Boards will continue to give you want on the lanes from house shots, modified house shot, PBAx pattern and a Kegel pattern. We'll announce February's tournament shortly! We'll continue to keep the shot a secret so that no one has an advantage coming in the door. 34 entries $5,130 in prize money, pots, survivals & brackets (67) paid out 1. 1,818 Joe Tremper 2. 1,806 Chhoeun To 3. 1,786 Terry Wiley 4. 1,778 Billy Asbury 5. 1,770 Don Slebodnik 6. 1,738 Keni Lowe Jr. Honors 299 Joe Tremper - Roto Grip Cell Pearl 290 Don Slebodnik - Storm Virtual Gravity 289 Chhoeun To - Storm Dimension 279 Terry Wiley - Storm Gravity Shift

"Posted: 1/12/2009 9:59 AM Jeff, Sadly enough I figured out where to play on that condition after game 3. But I've learned a valuable lesson that will/could/should help me in the future. I'm going to be printing out all the Kegel Patterns and have them in my bag for situations such as this one. You announced before practice started what the pattern was and to me, that meant absolutely 0 because I didn't even know what it was, let alone how to play it. Even watching others bowl, didn't really help because alot of players didn't seem to know either, as scores showed. I think this was one of the best tournament shots I've bowled on simply because you had to throw good shots. Hopefully the tournament scheduling won't conflict with the High Roller or the Masters in February as I look forward to bowling yours and Tony's tournaments. -------------------- Stephen Hahn aka "I_Bowl4Money""
