The Reactor coverstock is the benchmark in design

In use for over a decade, the Reactor coverstock is still going strong. When something has been this successful there is no reason to get rid of it. Reactor material is moderately aggressive, but still offers a fair amount of control without over-reacting on the backend.

Thermal representation of the moderately aggressive traction touchpoints of the Reactor Coverstock.

Really strong for a late league
Last season, I ended with a 196 average in a late league. This season I am currently a 171 average. The reasoning is because my league moved to another part of the bowling alley which allows for more hook which caused me to struggle.

This past Friday, I went to my local pro shop and asked the pro shop guy(who just happens to know my house very even though he doesn't bowl there anymore) what to get to counter the hook I am experiencing on dry lanes. So he recommended the Match Up. Bowled with it in league and it feels like I never missed a beat. First game in league was a 216. I shot a 587 series. My series would have been a lot higher if it weren't for two splits in the second game. I was able to have more control tonight and was able to find the pocket with more ease. Very excited to have it in my arsenal. Definitely would recommend it for very dry or light oiled lanes

One Hot Ball Match Up Pearl
45 x 5 x 45
44ft THS on Kegel Ice oil on older HPL surface – fresh and burned THS
Ball at BOX surface – 1500 grit polished
What I like: The ball worked really well inside of the worn track area and also outside the track area. The ball was less over under then the original Match Up for me on the fresh but just as predictable when and as the pattern broke down. In the hands of another lane hander, that is more direct player then I am with the same speed and less rev rate, it really worked well for him over his current mid performance pearl ball. It stored energy quite well through the pocket and did not leave corner pins as much as he was getting with his other ball. His other ball, on “good” shots, 6 out of 10 left a 7 pins and with the Match Up Pearl, it was cut down to 2 out of 10 left 7 pins. Pin carry was greatly increased for him and me with this Match Up Pearl. Better ball for slower ball speed people that are matched with their rev rate. I found that I had to change my hand position to help the ball recover in the backend on the burn when playing my normal shot in the track area. I felt more comfortable using the ball inside of 13 at the arrows and keeping the ball speed around 15 -15.4… Great ball for mid performance ball for the money.

For Now...Not what i expected
Ever since this ball was announced, I was anxious to get it. I really needed a step down ball with medium flare that would fill a void in my arsenal. I tried it and right off I knew it was not going to work. Now the ball is great but I needed something to fill gaps and this is too close to what I have already. Even taken some hand out of the ball is still a problem. but on the plus side, the ball hits and I like it but it too much and I wasn't expecting that.
