Diandra had a good look but missed left a few shots and didn't get any breaks!

Randy Pedersen

Diandra made a huge run to make the show. She didn't have that great of a reaction at Western Bowl. Diandra is one of the top women bowlers in the world and she will be defending at the Queens in August.

Danielle missed left and doubled with a break and never paid full penalty.  They were tough though!

Randy Pedersen

Danielle has a great game and performed well for her first time on TV. She will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. Solid mechanics and her mental game looks good too.

Chris Schlemer

Given the levels of experience of the two bowlers in this match the upper hand was definately in the hands of Liz Johnson.  Don't get me wrong, Danielle is definitely an up and coming talent and that is why Storm recently signed her.  She will be a factor in ladies events for many years to come.  Danielle had softer ball speed and more hand rotation than Liz, and she had to make larger than normal moves but wasn't scared to do so, and that is why she made it as far as she did.  When playing up 10 went away it was a quick move or two that got her into playing around the 4th arrow.  The experience and living the moment was all on Liz and she stepped up and made the most of it!

Kelly only got 8 shots before tv and made a great choice in the Hy-Road Pearl.  She got a bad break in the second frame leaving a 7-10 but had strikes after that...leaving only a 4 pin.

Randy Pedersen

Kelly Kulick pretty much dominated at all three centers from in. She is getting to know her new equipment and plays inside better that any woman bowler in the world. At Western Bowl, inside was touchy and Liz had a better look from out. Kelly is a force to win every time she shoes up. We will see her in the winner's circle very soon.

Chris Schlemer

This was another potential coin flip as was the men's title match.  Both Liz and Kelly, two of the best female bowlers on the planet were ready for this match and I guessed it to go either way.  Both ladies bowled great all week and both have excelled on the highest stages throughout their awesome careers.  With the flatter pattern it was a given that if Kelly missed her target playing inside she had little room for error.  She tried a variety of balls in practice but the Hy-Road Pearl was the definite choice.

I hit Liz's Marvel-S with a 1000 pad to freshen it up and it seemed to make it read the lane stronger.  She had a good read on a tough pair.  Her speed and accuracey really helped her to defeat both Danielle and Kelly!  After Kelly left a 4 pin, Liz had the match in hand.

Randy Pedersen

What can you say about Liz? Clearly one of the best women bowlers in the history of the game. She made straight play all week when others, even the men couldn't. It doesn't get any better than a Liz, Kelly matchup at the Open. This week it was all Liz and the Marvel-S.

Chris Schlemer

Liz played out and more direct up the lane than did Kelly.  She had a little more room for error playing here.  Liz liked how the Marvel-S gave her a good look.  The only other ball Liz was considering was the Defiant Soul and since she won the first match with the Marvel-S she had confidence that carried her all the way to the winners circle!
